Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a pneumonia caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The outbreak began in Wuhan, China, and spread rapidly, with many cases confirmed in multiple countries. Usually, after viral pneumonia were clinical cured, the pulmonary lesions of majority patients will gradually be absorbed to complete dissipation, very few severe patients may retain pulmonary interstitial inflammation and fibrosis. In this case, we described one unique COVID-19 patient, the symptoms were: dry cough, fatigue, poor appetite and subjective fever, moreover, the patient was a non-smoker, had no pulmonary bullous, no history of tuberculosis, and also no hypertension or diabetes. The patient received antiviral therapy, antibacterial therapy, recombinant human interferon-α2a, vitamin C and oxygen inhalation. After two weeks of treatment and observation, the patient was clinical cured and discharged. However, two days later, the patient had a sudden chest stuffiness, CT images indicted: his lung didn't heal like others, but developed a large pulmonary cavity in the lower lobe of right lung. In hospital, the patient showed no symptoms of infection for another 14 days, and the pulmonary cavity remain unchanged. This case suggested: it is important to follow convalescent COVID-19 patients, especially their lung CT images, to make sure a fully recovery.

Background: The role of miRNAs in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has been broadly studied and confirmed, and miR-107 has attracted an ever-growing level of attention. This study set out to research the mechanism of the effect of miR-107 on the malignant biological behavior of NSCLC in vivo and vitro.Methods: The expression of miRNAs related to the development of NSCLC was detected by RT-qPCR. Western blotting was carried out to detect expression levels of serine/threonine kinase 33 (STK33) and proteins related to the extracellular regulated protein kinases (ERK) signaling pathway, while cell proliferation was detected using cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8). The cell apoptosis rate was measured using flow cytometry. The invasion ability was detected by Transwell assay. In vivo tumor growth assays were performed on mice. The expression ERK signaling pathway-related proteins in vivo was evaluated by immunohistochemistry staining. The targeted relationship between miR-107 and STK33 was confirmed by the dual luciferase reporter gene. Results: In NSCLC cell lines and tissues, miR-107 was downregulated. Overexpression of miR-107 inhibited malignant biological behavior of NSCLC cell lines, and suppressed tumor growth in vivo. In addition, STK33 is one of the target genes of miR-107. Therefore, miR-107 suppressed cell proliferation and invasion and promoted tumor growth in vivo and cell apoptosis of NSCLC in vitro. The mechanism was found to be miR-107 targeting STK33, and a lack of STK33 led to the activation of ERK signaling pathway.Conclusions: miR-107 inhibited malignant biological behavior of NSCLC through regulation of the STK33/ERK signaling pathway.

Lung cancer is the highest incidence and mortality of all cancers around the world. In the present immunotherapy era, an increasing number of immunotherapeutic agents including monoclonal antibody-targeted drugs have been used in the clinical treatment of malignancy, but it still has many limitations. Chimeric antigen receptormodified T (CAR-T) cells, a novel adoptive immunotherapy strategy, have not only been used successfully against hematological tumors, but have also opened up new avenues for immunotherapy of solid tumors, including lung cancer. However, targeting lung cancer-specific antigens using engineered CAR-T cells is complicated by the lack of proper tumor-specific antigens, an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, a low level of CAR-T cell infiltration into tumor tissues, along with off-target effect, etc. Simultaneously, the clinical application of CAR-T cells remains limited because of many challenges such as tumor lysis syndrome, neurotoxicity syndrome, and cytokine release syndrome. In this review, we outline the basic structure and generation characteristic of CAR-T cells and summarize the common tumorassociated antigens in clinical trials of CAR-T cell therapy for lung cancer, and point out the current challenges and new strategies, aiming to provide new ideas and approaches for the pre-clinical experiments and clinical trials of CAR-T cell therapy in lung cancer.
