The author tried to clarify bibliometrical characteristics of Japanese university articles published on an electronic journal system. The basic data for this research was collected in July and August, 2003. Firstly, specified top 30 universities for 2003 in article publishing, and then extracted bibliographical information including number of articles and coauthoring in 1997 and 2003 from the basic data set. Number of citation those articles received was investigated about 11,921 articles published in 1997 as well. This study shows that publication of university articles tends to concentrate on limited journal titles.
