The goal of "Carbon peaks & Carbon neutrality" is not only the requirement of ecological civilization construction, but also a clear requirement for high-quality economic development. In order to achieve the goal of "Carbon peaks & Carbon neutrality", China is facing the simultaneous transformation and upgrading of economic structure and energy structure. With the advance of China's modernization, the power grid will continue to play the role of "bridge" and "link", and China's future distribution network will become the key to development. Building a smart distribution network is the demand of building a new power network, and also the requirement of transformation and upgrading to the energy Internet. This paper analyzed the main driving factors and paths of distribution network evolution and development in developed countries, put forward the functional orientation and main characteristics of China's future smart distribution network development based on the main needs of regional economic development, rural revitalization, Carbon peaks & Carbon neutrality and new power network in China's future distribution network development, and designed the index system of future smart distribution network based on its main characteristics, so as to guide the future development direction of distribution network.
In recent years, China sees complicated and volatile external situation and growing downward pressure on the domestic economy. Moreover, COVID-19 has adversely affected China's economic and social development. In such context, the Company, as the great strength and strong pillar, reduces the energy consumption cost for three consecutive years. Besides, uncertain factors in terms of power grid development investment have brought about larger impact on the demand and capacity of power grid project investment and proposed higher requirements on the Company. Externally, economic and social development, national strategic deployment, implementation of power supply planning and planned load, and trans-provincial and trans-regional power trading mechanism have a crucial impact on the actual operating benefits of power grid projects.
In recent years, the concepts and practices of smart cities and “Internet plus” smart energy have mushroomed, greatly promoting the development and application of customer-side energy Internet business and stimulating users’ diversified and personalized demand for interactive services of intelligent power utilization. Intelligent power utilization, as the core of the interactive service system, serves as a bridge between power supply departments and customers. Its construction has a direct impact on the efficiency, economic operation and orderly electricity consumption of power grids. In the context of the increasingly intelligent power grid and complex load structure, this paper analyzed the development trend of energy Internet and adopted SWOT to reveal the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of power grid enterprises in developing energy Internet, explore their development ideas on energy Internet businesses, and facilitate their development of energy Internet.
