Insha ‹Arabi At-tahriri is one of the important subject in the Kulliyatul Mu›allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) curriculum. However, in the implementation, it was found that most of them (60%) still scored below 6. This study aims to find the problems that exist in the learning of Insya ‹Arabi At-tahriri amongs student or santri of KMI, especially fifth grade student. This research is a field research using descriptive qualitative analysis. This research takes place in Modern Islamic Boarding School of Darussalam Gontor Campus 2. The sample of this research includes the Vice-director of KMI, teacher of KMI, staff of KMI, and all the fifth-grade students of KMI. The results of this study indicate the problem of learning Insya caused by several source. From the internal students, such as the lack of ability to express the language in writing competence, the weak mastery of Arabic Material and psychological aspect like willingness and motivation. And the external aspect of student including their activities outside class such as joining organization. While the factor of teachers, the problematic learning occurs due to teacher teaching method, some of them do not use student learning center method. It cause the teaching process becomes monotonous and bit boring.
Purpose: The study explores the process of using Arabic websites for Arabic language learning, utilising the Arabic Corpus Linguistic approach. This approach enables data-mining out of websites, systematically compiling the mined data, as well as processing the data for the express purpose of Arabic language teaching including its clusters, such as Arabic pragmatics, Arabic linguistics, and Arabic translation teaching as well. MethodologyThe research is written descriptively and utilises qualitative methods used for analysing the process and step-by-step procedures to be executed to make good use of the data. Main Findings: This study is conducted based on the theory of source-based teaching, while the process of utilising the websites is systematically elaborated through the corpus linguistic mechanism. The research concludes that almost all Arabic websites can be employed to be authentic, reliable teaching sources. The sources can be made good use of for teaching the four language competencies, for being the object of linguistic studies and for translation through the particular use of websites whose contents are bilingual or multilingual. Implications/ Applications: The utilisation of the Corpus for teaching and learning has still been needing wide-spreading and promoting either among practitioners or among researchers of the Arabic language in Indonesia. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study highlights that almost Arabic-language websites are one of the richest sources of learning. These learning resources can be used for language learning and various other dimensions of scientific Arabic. Corpus linguistics has many benefits for learners and teachers in Arabic language learning. This study gives the new approach of Arabic teaching-learning using website resources, and the dynamic of Arabic learning using technology.
After conducting the observation, the researcher found some students' problems in understanding Nahwu lesson, especially for the third grade. It was also found that students' enthusiasm declines in the process of teaching Nahwu in the classroom. Hence, the researcher wanted to provide Teaching solutions using the mind mapping strategy to raise students' enthusiasm and the result of their learning. In this strategy, the researcher did not make any products of mind mapping, but used the mind mapping process as the kind of strategy which had been conducted by the researcher. The aim of this research is to reveal the increase in students' enthusiasm and the result of their learning. The data came from the result of students' enthusiasm in the class and the result of their learning. This research based on the Classroom Action Research using Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model. After applying two cycles of the teaching in the class, doing the observation as well as the reflection which the researcher did the result’s comparison between the first cycle of teaching and the second one, the researcher obtained that the mind map strategy is able to raise students' enthusiasm and the result of their learning. Based on the aforementioned results, the researcher suggested that the mind mapping strategy could be used primarily in the Nahwu lesson.
The need of Muslims towards Arabic learning is urgently needed, because the Arabic language is not only Arabian. It is the language of Muslims around the world. Because of individual differences within the Muslim, such as age, educational background, the purpose of studying Arabic, etc., the learning of Arabic requires a specific curriculum to their needs for the learning of the Arabic language itself. In this paper, the researcher attempts to describe an example of Arabic learning, conducted on a community of Islamic Center Abdullah Ghonim Asy-syamail Ponorogo East Java from February to September 2017 and it also explains the implementation of a curriculum consisting of several elements, such as the subjects taught, the books used and also the learning method used. The most important point put forward in this paper is that the ability to make an Arabic learning curriculum according to the needs of the Ummah or learners of Arabic is a vital that must be possessed by every Arabic teacher, in addition to teaching skills and mastery of four language skills.
This study aimed to describe and analyze in depth about the application of the Arabic language education curriculum which conducted through an intensive course program by the Education and Training Center in University of Darussalam Gontor. This was a field research using qualitative approach. The data were collected by using observation, interviews and documentation. In analyzing the data, it used Miles and Huberman techniques. The results of this study showed that the intensive, effective and efficient training was conducted for trainees from various levels, involved basic, intermediate and high levels. This course used a communicative approach, particularly direct method. The participants lived in a student dormitory with a language habit in the environment for 24 hours. This intensive course aimed to improve receptive language skills including listening and reading, and deductive language skills including writing and speaking. The curriculums of this Education and Training Center consisted of academic and non-academic. Academic curriculum consisted of learning durÅ«s al-lugah al-abiarabiyyah, nahwu and á¹£araf, mahÄrah kitÄbah, qirÄah, istima ’, and kalÄm. While the non-academic curriculum was learning vocabulary, watching Arabic films, muhadatsah, singing Arabic songs, speeches, khot, and turats study.
