Sustainable electrocatalytic hydrogen production is a vital method for producing clean energy. However, the current platinum catalysts are costly and complicated to prepare with low catalytic activity. To obtain efficient catalysts, a facile method with a rational electrode design is essential to improve platinum activity and stability, facilitating the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Herein, we fabricated a self-supported HER composite electrode with abundant platinum activity sites by a simple metal−organic chemical vapor deposition, and nanostructured pine-like platinum was supported on carbon cloth (Pt/CC). Benefiting from the nanostructured pine-like platinum geometry, fast charge transfer, and good structure stability, this Pt/CC composite electrode exhibited excellent HER electrocatalytic activity. For HER, this electrode achieved a low overpotential of only 17.6 mV at 10 mA cm −2 in 1 M KOH. Moreover, Pt/CC exhibits long-term electrochemical durability, maintaining its catalytic activity for more than 30 h. What is more, this strategy can also be used on other self-supported substrates, e.g., nickel foam, to achieve high electrocatalytic activity. Thus, this work provides a simple and versatile method for the preparation of efficient HER catalysts.
Purpose of reviewMinimally invasive hysterectomy has gained popularity because of its many benefits. However, laparoscopic and robotic assisted hysterectomy have been associated with increased risk of vaginal cuff dehiscence. This review is meant to address risk management and prevention of vaginal cuff dehiscence in patients undergoing minimally invasive hysterectomy.
Recent findingsRecent findings in the literature focus on addressing modifiable risk factors in patients and on using good surgical technique to help minimize the risk of vaginal cuff dehiscence.
Subway is one of the most important public transportations in cities, and its operation security is a very prominent problem. Subway fire is an outstanding issue. The paper begins with the characteristics and reasons of subway, and sets forth the emergency countermeasure and rescue plan of subway fire.
With the rapid development of multimedia technology, multimedia teaching, as an advanced teaching method, is widely used in teaching, and leads teaching reform of colleges and universities. Multimedia teaching software greatly improves class effect by graphic illustrations and combination of dynamics and statics. But now there are also some problems about multimedia teaching software, such as poor universality, simple design, electronic blackboard, lack of artistry and interactivity, the paper puts forward evaluation principles and three-level evaluation index system of multimedia software for teaching, which have some reference value and realistic significance.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
