The durability of asphalt mixtures against floodwater immersion can serve as a reference to anticipate potential road damage. Moreover, Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) materials have been discovered as a substitute for aggregate materials in road pavement due to their environmental friendliness and cost-effectiveness. Therefore, this research aimed to assess the durability of asphalt mixtures produced using RAP aggregate materials against floodwater immersion for 1, 2, 4, and 8 days. The process involved using Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) mixtures with a proportion of 33% RAP aggregate as test specimens. The Marshall test conducted on the asphalt mixture produced an optimum asphalt content (OAC) value of 6.1%. Moreover, the durability of the mixture reduced up to the 8th day of immersion with a residual strength value of 86.29%. It was also discovered that the reduction in the durability value of the mixture produced using 33% RAP aggregate was almost similar to the application of 100% new aggregate (non-RAP). This means RAP aggregate materials are feasible as an environmentally friendly substitute in the mixture of road pavement.
Mint plants are generally grown on a small scale and are found growing wild in mountainous areas and in damp and watery places. This plant is able to adapt to tropical climates so that it can be cultivated. The purpose of this article is to provide counseling on how to cultivate mint leaves and use them as a fresh and healthy health drink at SMP IT Khazanah Boarding School. The method used is to provide counseling and practice it directly, how to cultivate and utilize mint plants as a fresh drink. Planting mint can be done by cutting existing plants. The trick is to cut the stalk about 1 cm above the branching. Then, remove some of the leaves on the stalks and submerge them in a container. Mint leaves have a distinctive spicy taste, fresh scent and have various benefits for the body, such as refreshing breathing, calming digestion, boosting immunity, and others. As for how to use it as a fresh drink for health which is combined with several ingredients such as Mint leaves, Lemons or Lime that have been cleaned, Honey or Sugar, and Hot Water. Then the lemons are cut into thin strips, then honey is added and the boiling hot water is poured into the container, then the mint leaves are dipped, and let stand for a moment so that the mint and lemon flavors are stronger then they can be served and drunk in warm conditions. The results obtained were that the teachers and students were very enthusiastic about participating in the community service activities carried out by the Riau University lecturer team from start to finish and almost all participants were excited to try planting, making drinks and enjoying fresh drinks from mint leaves.
Pengujian kuat lentur dan kuat tekan kayu adalah pengujian yang didasarkan pada sifat-sifat mekanik kayu yaitu menahan tarikan dan tekanan. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelas kayu dan besar perubahan nilai kuat lentur dan kuat tekan kayu sengon solid dengan kayu sengon setelah diberi lapisan zat resin. Pada pengujian ini dilakukan tiga variasi yang berbeda dimana setiap pengujian kuat lentur dan kuat tekan yaitu, kuat lentur kayu solid, kuat lentur kayu coating dengan resin 1 lapis dan kuat lentur kayu coating resin 2 lapis. Begitu juga dengan pengujian kuat tekan dilakukan variasi yang sama serperti pengujian kuat lentur. Pada setiap pengujian ini diperoleh kelas kayu adalah kayu kelas III, dan persentase rata-rata kenaikan kuat lentur kayu coating resin 1 lapis adalah sebesar 17,97 MPa atau sekitar 0,4 % dari nilai kuat lentur kayu solid, sedangkan persentase rata-rata kenaikan kuat lentur kayu coating resin 2 lapis adalah sebesar 23,40 MPa atau sekitar 0,5 %. Dan untuk pengujian kuat tekan kayu coating resin 1 lapis mengalami penurunan sebesar 0,77 MPa, atau sekitar 0,02 % dari kuat tekan kayu solid, sedangkan pada pengujian kuat tekan kayu coating resin 2 lapis mengalami penurunan sebesar 1,53 MPa, atau sekitar 0,04 % dari nilai kuat tekan kayu solid.
Dalam revolusi 4.0 saat ini yang mana segala sesuatunya diiringi dengan kemjuan teknologi yang berimbas pada kehidupan kita. Era yang tidak pernah merasa puas dengan hasil yang dicapainya sehingga terus menerus berupaya melakukan inovasi. Dalam sebuah inovasi dibutuhkannya sebuah kekreatifitas dalam menghadapi tantangan era ini. Salah satunya kita bisa memanfaat limbah yang ada disekitar kita seperti limbah dari sisa konstruksi yakni pipa PVC. Dalam pemanfaatannya sisa potongan pipa PVC dapat disulap menjadi sebuah produk yang bernilai tinggi. Desa padang mutung menjadi target pelatihan ini karena di desa padang mutung terdapat banyak sekali sisa potongan pipa PVC, tim pengabdian bekerjasama dengan Kepala Desa Padang Mutung melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat serta melakukan praktek langsung tentang langkah-langka pembuatan kerajinan vas bunga dan bingkai cermin dari sisa PVC, namun dikarenakan ilmu yang kurang tidak ada yang memanfaatkannya. Dalam pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan ilmu serta membuka pikiran kreatif warga desa padang mutung. Serta dapat membantu terbukanya peluang bisnis yang dapat membangkitkan perekonomian warga padang mutung.
Healthy housing is one of the needs that must be completed in order to support the householders to obtain an optimal degree of welfare for their living. The aim of this research is to determine how far the housing type 45, Panorama Indah Residence, Pekanbaru, qualified as a healthy house according to the Directorate General of Human Settlements, Department of Public Works of 1986. The criteria of a healthy house are divided into four (4) aspects, namely: amenities, health, building intensity, and affordability. The parameters of a healthy house, particularly health aspects, include adequacy of lighting, ventilation, and the supply of clean and drinking water; the disposal of household waste water, rain drainage, and household waste; also all parts of the house, including floors and walls, must not be humid, and be unaffected by pollution from dirty water and air. This research used synchronising the regulations method with the real condition by conducting a direct field survey and was analysed by design document. The results of this research indicated that the housing type 45 has not met all the demands of a healthy house requirement, particularly the health aspect. This included the lighting, lack of ventilation and unavailable trash cans in the area of the housing.
