A 20-GHz high-speed digital radio-relay system, with 400-Mb/s transmission capacity, is under development for long-haul transmission. This paper describes the design and characteristics of this system, Results of field evaluation tests are also presented.
Multi-level Trellis coded OAM VLSIs were designed and developed. These VLSIs realize a coding ain of 7.9dB with SPORT-256QAM.The k S I s contain an encoder, map r and decoder for Trellis coded 16, 32, 64, E 8 and 256QAM utilizing general mapping. The VLSIs also function as a phase ambiguity re'ection circuit Usin small-size and low-power path-memory, 15Ozgates is achifved usin two $hips with &eThe VLSIs achieve a maximum data throughput rate of l7Mbit/s (guaranteed), 30Mbit/s (t ical) and dissipate only 1W at a data rate of 17MTiUs. The devices are desi ned with BiCMOS 0 . 8~ m design and ALPHA2 for layout design schemes. The experimental results of BER erformance, phase ambi uit rejection are resented. The digital microwave radio systems.for a recovered carrier and error pu
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
