Introdução: Os gliomas são tumores cerebrais de alta mortalidade nos adultos e de alta prevalência nas crianças. O bom prognóstico depende de diagnóstico precoce, estadiamento preciso, ressecção completa e correta avaliação de recorrência pós-tratamento. Para tanto, os exames de PET são ferramentas promissoras e este trabalho visa abordar sua eficácia. Método: Foram utilizados como banco de dados o Pubmed e Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde para seleção de artigos que melhor atendiam ao tema: marcadores nucleares para avaliação de glioma. Selecionou-se dez artigos dos tipos revisões bibliográficas e estudos observacionais, datados de 2010 a 2017. Resultados: A MET-C11 apresenta sensibilidade e especificidade de 70-80%. Já o uso de FET-F18 para glioma tem sensibilidade de 95% e especificidade de 91%. A FDOPA-F18 tem sensibilidade de 81% e especificidade de 84%. O FGD-F18 tem sensibilidade e especificidade para gliomas limitadas, que são de 80, 70 e 97% respectivamente. O 68Ga-PRGD2 apresenta eficácia superior à do FGD e capacidade máxima na diferenciação do grau do tumor. Conclusão: O melhor método para a identificação de glioma é o FET-PET e o mais preciso na diferenciação do grau do tumor é o RGD PET. Os demais citados possuem valor diagnóstico superior à Ressonância Magnética (RM) para glioma.
Introdução: A síndrome da secreção inapropriada do hormônio antidiurético (SIADH) pode ser causada por tumores malignos ou benignos, doenças neurológicas e medicações. A hiponatremia é o distúrbio hidroeletrolítico mais comum no paciente internado, e a SIADH uma das causas mais comuns. A hiponatremia está associada à internação prolongada e aumento da morbidade e mortalidade dos pacientes. Portanto, seu tratamento correto é essencial. O tumor maligno mais comum causador de SIADH é o tumor de pulmão de pequenas células; o câncer de próstata é uma causa rara dessa síndrome. Relato de caso: Trata-se de paciente, do sexo masculino, de 75 anos, com diagnóstico de adenocarcinoma de próstata acinar usual, sem inicio de tratamento. Deu entrada no pronto socorro com quadro de rebaixamento do nível de consciência, sendo evidenciado hiponatremia grave em exame laboratorial. Após descartadas outras causas, foi feito diagnóstico de SIADH paraneoplásica. Conclusão: A associação de SIADH e carcinoma de próstata é pouco frequente e há poucas publicações, porém é uma condição de alta morbimortalidade. Um diagnóstico precoce, fornece possibilidade terapêutica correta, diminuindo tempo de internação do paciente, morbidade e mortalidade.

RESUMOIntrodução: a Síndrome de Budd Chiari (SBC) é uma afecção rara que acomete 1:50.000. O diagnóstico e o manejo precoce alteram positivamente o prognóstico do paciente por ser uma patologia que leva a degeneração hepática, falência sistêmica e morte. Objetivo: Compreender a importância do shunt porto cava como tratamento definitivo da hipertensão portal e encorajar novos estudos sobre a patologia. Métodos: as informações foram obtidas por meio de revisão do prontuário e entrevista com paciente, resultados dos métodos diagnósticos as quais o paciente foi submetido e revisão da literatura.
