Rystad Energy's analysis shows that installed offshore wind capacity will rise to 27.5 GW in 2026 from 10.5 GW in 2020. This report indicates that increasingly complex maintenance needs must be met for wind turbines(WTs). IRENA report shows that offshore wind operation and maintenance (OM) costs typically constitute 16-25% of the cost of electricity for offshore wind farms deployed in the G20 countries. Data collection and analytics, predictive maintenance, and production output optimisation of WTs must be explored to increase operational reliability and reduce maintenance costs of WTs. Predictive maintenance in wind turbines can be achieved by analysing data obtained by sensors already equipped with the WT. This network of sensors forms part of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. We developed a method for monitoring and detecting anomalies in the WT critical components, such as the gearbox and the generator. The proposed approach is based on the historical SCADA data that is common in most wind farms. We developed models using extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) to build the characteristics behaviour of critical WT components, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) was used to evaluate its anomalous behaviour. The proposed method was tested on two real case studies regarding six different WT to determine its effectiveness and applicability.

Autonomous vehicle (AV) industry has evolved rapidly during the past decade. Research and development in each sub-module (perception, state estimation, motion planning etc.) of AVs has seen a boost, both on the hardware (variety of new sensors) and the software sides (state-of-the-art algorithms). With recent advancements in achieving real-time performance using onboard computational hardware on an ego vehicle, one of the major challenges that AV industry faces today is modelling behaviour and predicting future intentions of road users. To make a self-driving car reason and execute the safest motion plan, it should be able to understand its interactions with other road users. Modelling such behaviour is not trivial and involves various factors e.g. demographics, number of traffic participants, environmental conditions, traffic rules, contextual cues etc. This comprehensive review summarizes the related literature. Specifically, we identify and classify motion prediction literature for two road user classes i.e. pedestrians and vehicles. The taxonomy proposed in this review gives a unified generic overview of the pedestrian and vehicle motion prediction literature and is built on three dimensions i.e. motion modelling approach, model output type, and situational awareness from the perspective of an AV.INDEX TERMS Autonomous driving, road vehicles, roads, trajectory prediction, vehicle safety, human intention and behaviour analysis.

Introduction: A stoma is a surgical procedure in which a part of gut is taken out and connected on the anterior abdominal wall. An anastomosis is the joining together of the two intestinal ends that remain after a diseased section has been removed. The closure of the stoma though thought to be minor surgical procedure, yet it may be associated with appreciable morbidity. When the reversal of stoma is done in less than 8 weeks following primary surgery then it is considered to be early closure. Early closure of the temporary stoma might reduce both stoma -related complications and patient ailment. <span lang="EN-US">The cloud computing model offers a shared pool of resources and services with diverse models presented to the clients through the internet by an on-demand scalable and dynamic pay-per-use model. The developers have identified the need for an automated system (cloud service broker (CSB)) that can contribute to exploiting the cloud capability, enhancing its functionality, and improving its performance. This research presents a dynamic congestion management (DCM) system which can manage the massive amount of cloud requests while considering the required quality for the clients’ requirements as regulated by the service-level policy. In addition, this research introduces a forwarding policy that can be utilized to choose high-priority calls coming from the cloud service requesters and passes them by the broker to the suitable cloud resources. The policy has made use of one of the mechanisms that are used by Cisco to assist the administration of the congestion that might take place at the broker side. Furthermore, the DCM system is used to help in provisioning and monitoring the works of the cloud providers through the job operation. The proposed DCM system was implemented and evaluated by using the CloudSim tool.</span>
