The Internet of Things (IoT) benefits our lives by integrating physical devices to the real world and offers a crucial internet infrastructure for future civilization. Because IoT devices are widely distributed and restricted in resources, it is difficult for them to adopt traditional security methods to resist malicious attacks. Unauthorized access to IoT devices, which results in severe privacy and security problems, has become a major challenge that has impeded IoT technology from being widely adopted. Therefore, the access control for IoT devices urgently needs to be improved when dealing with authorization issues. In this paper, we propose an attribute-based access control scheme that provides decentralized, flexible, and fine-grained authorization for IoT devices. Blockchain is utilized to provide authentic and reliable credentials. More importantly, a verifiable collaboration mechanism is designed to meet the needs of controlled access authorization in emergencies. Authority nodes are constructed to execute major computation tasks and interact with the blockchain. The security analysis shows that our scheme can reliably guarantee the security of authorized access. More than security assurance, a proof-of-concept prototype has been implemented to prove that our scheme is scalable, efficient, and accommodates IoT devices well.

Prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE) interferes with neurodevelopment. The brain is particularly susceptible to the adverse consequences of prenatal alcohol exposure, and numerous studies have documented changes to brain anatomy and function, as well as consequences for cognition, behavior, and mental health. Studies in typically developing individuals have shown that the brain undergoes dynamic developmental processes over an individual’s lifespan. Furthermore, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies in other neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders have shown that their developmental trajectories differ from the typical pattern. Therefore, to understand long-term clinical outcomes of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), it is necessary to investigate changes in neurodevelopmental trajectories in this population. Here we review studies that have used MRI to evaluate changes in brain structure and function over time via cross-sectional or longitudinal methods in individuals with PAE. Research demonstrates that individuals with PAE have atypical cortical and white matter microstructural developmental trajectories through childhood and adolescence. More research is needed to understand how factors such as sex and postnatal experiences may further mediate these trajectories. Furthermore, nothing is known about the trajectories beyond young adulthood.

A new eremophilane sesquiterpenoid, namely, 3β-angeloyloxy-6β,8β-dihydroxy-9β-senecioyloxyeremophil-7(11)-en-12,8α-lactone, along with eight known sesquiterpenoids, was isolated from the rhizome of Farfugium japonicum. The structures of all isolates were identified based on analyses of spectroscopic data (HRESIMS, IR, 1D, and 2D NMR) and comparison with literature data. The inhibitory effects of compounds 1-4 on nitric oxide production in lipopolysaccaride-activated mouse macrophages were also evaluated.

Aiming at the large displacement monitoring needs of slope, road, and bridge engineering, a new method concerning the superwide-range fiber Bragg grating (FBG) displacement sensor based on eccentric gear was investigated. The structure of the sensor was designed and the formula for the wavelength-displacement relationship was established via waveform fitting from calibration tests. The lateral displacement of a first-story shear wall was successfully monitored in a hysteresis test of a steel frame-reinforced concrete infill wall. A FBG relative displacement sensor was developed refitting a superwide-range fiber Bragg grating displacement sensor based on eccentric gear. The refitted sensor was applied in a self-repairing performance test of a shape memory alloy (SMA) strengthened concrete beam. The monitoring results of the crack were compared with the results of an integrated test instrument, and the results showed that the sensor exhibited very good accuracy. The innovative FBG displacement sensor has a low influence on the structure, strong practicability, and good prospects for engineering applications.
