Non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS) curves are fit for representation of motion trajectory. It is popular that digital signal processor (DSP) is used as computerized numerical control (CNC) and motion controller. But existing NURBS algorithms is not configured to meet different speed and precision requirements in different applications, and computation burden of the interpolation is too much for single DSP motion control system. A configurable NURBS interpolation flow and parallel motion control system are presented in this paper. And a two-phase pipeline mode NURBS interpolator with double TMS320F2812 CPUs was built. Configurable NURBS interpolation flows and interpolation tasks scheme strategy for the CPUs were tested in the system. Experimental results showed that configurable NURBS interpolation flows are feasible and the two-phase pipeline mode NURBS interpolator is successful.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
