To provide theoretical basis for vegetation construction surrounding coal mining subsidence crack in semi-arid region, the focus of studying is on the soil moisture surroundings, the coal mining crack in different widths and soil moisture on different directions of a single crack. The result shows that the greater crack width is, the greater influence on soil moisture, the greater influence on deep soil moisture are. The standard deviations of soil moisture at each distance are crack width 0-20cm< width 20-40cm < width 40-60cm < width>60cm. Soil moisture along the crack direction has no obvious distribution regularity, on the vertical crack strike, and within a certain distance, with the increase of distance between crack, the tendency of soil moisture content is increased.
Project-based learning (PJBL) is student-centered and teamwork educational activity that prepares students for the challenge of real-world problems. This kind of instructional method is highly recommended by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). This paper describes an authentic project that focuses on the preparation of (S)-epichlorohydrin from laboratory (lab) scale to mass production, which provides a situation for students to explore lab work as well as real industrial practice. During the different learning activities, clear learning objectives and guiding questions would be explicitly given to students to help them apply their knowledge and skills to the engineering project and complete the tasks within a given time. Upon the completion of the project, their written reports and team oral reports are used to evaluate their learning gains. The assessment results showed that most of the students attained good scores, and all teams reached outstanding level. Their engineering practical abilities including practical operation, problem-solving, systematic thinking, teamwork, and communication were significantly improved. This paper discusses how to cultivate engineering science talents at the college's comprehensive practicing course.
Vehicle driving cycles have great effect on the energy consumption. Due to the battery capability ofEV and in order to reduce the energy consumption of EV, the study of planning the most energy-saving driving route for EV before its trip will be a prospective and guiding work. It is the obtaining time-variant driving cycles that be the basis of this work. The Markov Process based on stochastic process and probability theory is a new method, which is used to design the time-variant driving cycles in this paper. It is conclude from the design results that the driving cycles are different from each other during both free flow time and peak time and the results is more closed to the real driving cycles.
In view of the particularity and high risk of coal mining industry, the decision-making behavior of multiple agents inside the coal-mine enterprise plays a very important role in ensuring the safety and sustainable development of coal mining industry. The existing literature studies on coal-mine safety production focus mainly on statically analyzing the game among the external entities such as the government, the enterprises themselves, and the employees inside the enterprise from a macro perspective, are short of research on revealing the dynamic interactions among the actors directly involved in the coal-mine accidents and also on proposals for effective interactions that will lead to improved safety outcomes. Therefore, this paper explores the use of evolutionary game theory to describe the interactions among the stakeholders in China’s coal-mine safety production system, which includes the organization, the first-line miners, and the first-line managers. Moreover, the paper also explores dynamic simulations of the evolutionary game model to analyze the stability of stakeholder interactions and to identify equilibrium solutions. The simulation results show that when certain conditions are met, the decision-making behavior of the organization, miners, and managers can evolve into the unique ideal steady state (1, 1, 1). In addition, the strategy portfolio with a relatively high initial proportion of three agents converges more quickly to an ideal state than a relatively low strategy portfolio. Moreover, the stable state and equilibrium values are not affected by the initial value changes. Finally, we find that the combination of positive incentive policies and strict penalties policies can make the evolutionary game system converge to desired stability faster. The application of the evolutionary game and numerical simulation when simulating the multiplayer game process of coal-mine safety production is an effective way, which provides a more effective solution to the safety and sustainable development of coal mining industry.
