Then the combinatorial weigh ting method is applie d to cal culate the weight value of these measu res relati ve to the target according to the relationshi p between objecti ves an d gui delines, fu rthermore the theoreti cal optimal ligh tning protecti on measu re is selecte d. The appli cation of this meth od is illustrate d with a typical 500 kV trans mission line un de r complex te rrain, an d the expe cte d e valuati on result sh ows the lightnin g protection pe rforman ce can meet the trans formation requi rements .
