AbstractMenthyl-substituted phosphorus compounds L-M en(R )P(X )Cl(R = Cl, L-M en, D -Men ; X = :, S) are synthesized. ID and 2 D NMR studies on nuclei 1H , 13C and 31P were used to characterize singular, diastereotopic and enantiotopic menthylgroups.
Abstract Diastereomeric mixtures for members of series CH3 (t-C4H9)P(X ) -Y -(Z)P(t-C4 H9)CH3 were prepared. Pure meso- and rac-[CH3 (t-C4H9)P (S)]2 (8a/8b) and rac-[CH3 (t-C4H9)P(S)]2S (13) were isolated. Exchange reactions leading to redistribution of sulfur between tri- and pentavalent phosphorus sites are discussed. A novel one-batch method is used for the synthesis of diphosphine disulfides.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
