Nutrition is very important in maintaining a healthy and prosperous life. Inadequate nutrition can cause nutritional problems, especially related to chronic energy deficiency (CED) which is still experienced by many pregnant women and women of childbearing age. Lack of consumption of nutrients and wrong diet patterns related to low knowledge of mothers about nutrition. Health education is a strengthening method to increase knowledge about nutrition to reduce the prevalence of anemia and CED. Online media (web-based audiovisual) and offline (print/book) media are very appropriate as a means of conveying health information. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of health education through web-based audiovisual media and print media on mothers' knowledge about preventing Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in Koto Tangah District, Padang City. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest with a control group design. The population of this study was all mothers who experienced CED and Anemia in Kota Tangah District, Padang City, totaling 82 mothers. The sampling technique is total sampling, according to the inclusion criteria. The results of the independent sample t-test showed that there was a significant influence between health education through web-based audiovisual media and print media on mothers' knowledge about CED prevention with a p-value of 0.004 (p<0.05). The conclusion is that there is an increase in mothers' knowledge about the prevention of CED after health education through both audiovisual and print media. So, it is hoped that health workers can design educational videos that are short, clear, and interesting in providing health education, especially related to CED prevention, so that people can enjoy health education videos properly.
