Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan temuan tentang pengembangan nilai karakter anak usia dini melalui nilai filosofis serat sestradi di Pakualaman Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak usia dini di Tepas Pawiyatan Pakualaman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi etnografi. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Serat sestradi sebagai pedoman dalam pengembangan nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditanamkan pada anak melalui tembang, dolanan, dongeng, dan bahasa. (2) Tepas Pawiyatan Pakualaman dalam pembelajarannya berpedoman pada ajaran sestradi yang mengandung 21 ajaran perilaku baik yaitu ngadeg (takwa), sabar (sabar), sokur (syukur), narima (tulus ikhlas), sura (berani), mantep (mantap hati), temen (bersungguh-sungguh), suci (suci), enget (inget), sarana (sarana), istiyar (ikhtiar), prawira (perwira), dibya (bijaksana), swarjana (cerdas), bener (lurus hati), guna (pandai), kuat (kuat), nalar (nalar), gemi (hemat), prayitna (waspada) lan (dan) taberi (rajin). PengembanganKeprofesian Berkelanjutan merupakan pengembangan kompetensi pendidik yang dalam pelaksanaannya disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan setiap guru dalam rangka meningkatkan profesionalitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan temuan tentang pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan dalam aspek pengembangan diri guru di gugus PAUD 1 dan Gugus PAUD 2 Kapanewon Pajangan Bantul Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil temuan menunjukan bahwa : (1) Kesadaran dan motivasi dalam pengembangan diri guru PAUD. (2) Upaya dalam pengembangan diri dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. (3) Aksi nyata pengembangan diri dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru.
The Indonesian curriculum for 2013 places a strong emphasis on character education. This is because some feel that the morals and character of the nation have been eroding. It can be argued that this tendency began during the Dutch colonial period, when pupils were subjected to moral judgment. During this time, Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s ideas served as a springboard for restoring a spirit of education in Indonesia that was just and respected adab, regardless of one’s origin. The goal of this research was to compare Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s ideas with the character education curriculum of 2013. This study employed a qualitative methodology with a comparative study strategy. The findings showed that character education in the 2013 curriculum, as well as Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s ideas, can be starting points for restoring Indonesia’s educational spirit to a higher level of quality. Students who are both ethically and academically brilliant, who have a high level of scientific knowledge and respect ethical and moral principles should be praised.
