ABSTRACT:In this paper, the results of an analytical and computational investigation are presented, where a reliable methodology for evaluating the seismic demand out the plane, in the constructions of frames with infills of nonreinforced masonry are proposed. With this methodology the acceleration records in different heights from the building are obtained. The equations which are proposed were obtained considering the results by methodologies established at world-wide level, experimental results of a building constructed in Los Angeles city, which was completely instrumented during the Northrigde earthquake -1994; and analytical models of typical buildings analyzed by the finite elements method -FEM. Finally, acceleration curves with respect to the height (with the proposed methodology) of typical buildings of frames with infills of nonreinforced masonry constructed in the different zones established in the seismic areas from Bogotá city are presented.
Tabla 1. Sismos de diseño y objetivos de comportamiento.
