Abstract:The crystal structures of two zincophosphate networks prepared in the presence of 1,5-diaminopentane (dap) are described. In Zn 3 (PO 4 ) 2 (C 5 H 14 N 2 ) 2 ·3H 2 O (1) the dap forms Zn-N coordinate bonds to generate an unusual three-dimensional "hybrid" framework constructed from ZnO 3 N, ZnO 2 N 2 and PO 4 tetrahedra with three different types of elongated channels occupied by water molecules. In C 5 H 16 N 2 ·Zn 3 (PO 4 ) 2 (HPO 4 )·H 2 O; (2) the doubly-protonated H 2 dap acts in a more typical way to template double layers of vertex-sharing ZnO 4 , PO 4
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
