Since its ability to survive in any condition of the economy, and employment, MSMEs has become the strategic sector in the economy. Along with the rapid development of the tourism sector, MSMEs have also emerged that support tourism activities, such as culinary, souvenirs, entertainment and guide services. With great tourism potential, Indonesia's tourism sector has the opportunity to become the fastest growing leading sector in the world. Karanggondang, Limbangan and Lolong (KABALONG), three villages that administratively part of the Karanganyar subdistrict in Pekalongan Regency are areas that have various kinds of tourism potential, namely natural, culinary, historical and cultural tourism. The durian and 'Lengkung'/(arc/curve) bridge in Lolong have become an icon in this area. There are many and various MSMEs around it. However, they aren't managed professionally and integrated yet. So, they don't provide benefits to the community optimally. Using the appreciate inquiry (AI) that used in SOAR analysis, this research found that tourism MSMEs in Kabalong area potentially developed. Internally, MSMEs have strength products and human resources and externally supported by government support, natural resources and tourist preferences regarding tourist destinations. Considering the internally and externally supports and some of the aspirations and expected results, this research proposes a long-term policy in enhancing the performance of local tourism MSMEs, The Development of tourism MSMEs that based on local potential, science and technology and strong to improve community welfare Considering internally and externally supported and some of the aspirations and also measurable results, it can be proposed a long-term policy direction to enhance the tourism MSMEs around Kabalong area, Development of the Resilient Tourism MSMEs based on local potential, science, and technology to increase Social welfare. This research notes that the most important thing in enhancing MSMEs is to put the MSMEs as a "subject" of development rather than as an "object". The development of MSMEs can be started from what MSMEs have, not something they do not have or their limitations
This research is conducted to know the condition of small and micro business of cassava –based in Semarang regency related to management of working capital. Samples of this research are ten small and micro business of cassava-based food in that area. That data was obtained with questionnaires, which distributed to those samples. Interview and observation are also used to complete data from questioner. The data are analyzed by descriptive quantitative and quantitative. The result show that they run their business only to get revenue for meeting their basic needs. While, on the working capital management, they focus on finished goods inventory rather than on raw material inventory. The easiness of getting the cassava make them have a few cassava as inventory. They order cassava from nearest supplier for making any kinds of food. Most of working capital is financed by owners equity. Therefore, they do not dependent on creditors. Nevertheless, they have not yet included wages of workers to create net profit. Respectively, inventory conversion period, average collection period, payables deferral period and cash conversion cycle do not influence to return on asset. In the future, they can take loan to finance working capital as long as not more than owner’s equity. They should include wages expense to get profit. More importantly, they must own entrepreneurial spirit in business.
Every investor has different in vestment be havior. These differences are called investor style. Investor style can be different because of demography, personality, and diffe rent transaction times. The purpose of this study is to re duce the mistakes made by individual investors style . Some of the methods used in this research are Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), secondary data, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and stock simulation with algorithm. All of these me thods emphasize the decision making process when buying and selling stocks. The results provide a set of price targets and types of stocks purchased. Accounting information remains the main ingredient for making these decisions. Accounting information that is often used is Price Book Value (PB V) to sele ct undervalued stocks. Additional results from depth inte rviews, average return obtained based on the time horizon, the beginning of the transaction up to 1 year has a stock return of around 2-4 percent. A time horizon of 1-3 years will get a re turn of around 10 percent. Time horizon of more than 3 years, stock returns will rise again. The average long -term stock investment is around 20 percent. Personalities based on Dominance, influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness (DISC) that fit the stock investment style tend to be a precisionist pe rsonality, a style of investor that systematically follows e xisting trading orders. The stock simulation method also uses a trading algorithm with stages according to the AHP results, in order to be able to see the investment style of stocks in the Indonesian capital market.
The development of the tourism sector and its supporting MSMEs have a positive impact on the society. However, various classic problems of MSME cause the MSME’s competitiveness be relatively low and have not been able to provide optimal benefits for the community. Efforts to empower MSMEs and tourism are important to do. Empowerment policy must be comprehensive. Therefore, general policy directions, strategies and priority issues have to be formulated to suit the conditions and needs to achieve the goal. Using an Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) approach combined with a Strength, Opportunity analysis Aspiration and Result (SOAR) analysis approach, this study aimed to formulate general policy directions and strategies and to highlight the priority of the issues. The study, conducted in Pekalongan Regency, Indonesia. There were 60 participants that come from local governments, academics, and community leaders as respondents. The results show that promotion and price mix are considered relatively high importance-low performance. Meanwhile, SOAR analysis shows that the endowment factors, the motivation of MSME’s actors and government policies are their strength. Thus, in the short term, it is necessary to increase price and promotion performances to improve the quality of tourism MSMs. In the long term, it is necessary to strengthen institutions and improve the quality of human resources.
Although good corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) have been widely studied, a question remains relevant; why there is a relationship between them, as CSR is influenced by choices, motives, and values of people involving in formulating and taking decisions within organizations, consideration of corporate governance mechanisms, in particular, ownership structure and composition of the board of directors, and board of commissioners. The aim of this was to investigate the relationship between Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The samples were 23 companies listed in Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure Index (CGPI) during 2009-2013. The variables used in this study were the number of audit committee, public ownership, foreign ownership, proportion of independent commissioner, and the disclosure of CSR. The Result of this study showed that the number of audit committee have a significant impact on the disclosure of CSR.
