In einer Mitteilung '), die kurzlich in dieser Zeitschrift ver6ffentlicht wurde, hatten wir angekundigt, dnB auch die hoheren Glieder der Oxydationsfettsauren aus Paraffin durch eine genaue Trennung als einheitliche chemische Stoffe abgeschieden und gewichtsmaflig bestimmt werden sollten. Im folgenden wird das Ergehnis der neuen Untersuchung') iiiitgeteilt. Als Ausgangsstoff diente ein nach d , m heutigen Stande der Oxydations-und Aufbereitungstechnik aus F i s c h e r -T r o p s c h -Paraffin gewonnenes Fettsauregemisch. Das Gemilsch war praktkch frei von Oxyfettsauren und deren Veres terung s produ k ten. Durch eine Des tilla tion war.en die niedrigst-und hoch,stmolekularen Fettsauren soweit abgetrennt, wie es fur die Erzeugung eines Speisefettes zweckmaBig ist. Das inittlere Molekulargewicht lag bei 229,8, also ein wenig oberhalb desjenigen von Myristinlsaure. Sonst war das Gemisch in der folgend,en Weise gekennzeichnet : Konsisteni! : .bei gewnhnlicher Temperatur test Erstarrungspurikt (nach F i n k e n e r) : 26,2OC Farbe : 1~11gcib Geruch : fast indifferent VZ : 247,25 SZ : 244,2 JZ (nacli K il u f in a n n) : 4.86 Hydroxylzahl : 3,7 PcirolBtl~criiiiIiisliclle Ox y sii it rc i i : niclit 1iacliwcisb;ir Unverscil'ba rcs : 0,?9 O h 600 g des Fettsauregemisches wurden in der I'riiher beschriehenen Weise in die Methylester iibergefuhrt. Erhalten wurden 633 6 Ester --99 Oiu der Theorie. VZ = 233,1, SZ = 0,O. 585 g Methylester wurden zunachst durch Destilliereii aus einem C 1 a i s e n -Kolben unter Minderdnick (Destillation A) in 8 Fraktionen zerlegt, die dann nach der friiher angegebenen Art in zwei Arbeitsgangen (Destillationsreihen B und C) mit Hilfe einer hochwirksamen Spiralrohr-Destilliersaule in die einzelnen Bestandteile getrennt wurden. In dem Diagramm ist als Abszisw die Menge des Destillats aus der Reihe C aufgetragen. die Ordinaten zeigen die auf 13,5 mm Druck reduzierten Siedepunkte (ausgezogene Kurve) , die Lichtbrechnngen fiir die Natriumlinie bei 35,0° (gestrichelte Kurve) und die Schmelzpunkte (strichpunktierte Kurve) der ubergegangenen Anteile.In dem Diagramm erscheinen nicht der Vorlauf (7,75 g), der durch die Destillationsreihe B herausgeschnitten war und fast ganz aus dcm Methylester der P e 1 a r g o n s a LI r e bestand, und nicht die Kuckstande aus den Destillationsreihen B und C (56,05 g und 19,2 g), die die Methylester der SZiuren oberhalh der Heptadekansaure enthielten.Die Haltepunkte fur die Methylester der gesattigten normalen Fettsauren von der C a p r y ls a u r e , C10H2002, bis zur H e p t a d e k a n s aure , C1,H3402, sind klar zu erkennen. Die leichten Unregelmafligkeiten der Siedekurve bei den hoheren Gliedern sind auf die Schwierigkeit vollig gleichm56iger Destillation bei hohen Temperaturen zuriickzufuhren. Zwischen den SBuren Cis und C16 tritt eine kurze Stufe auf, die wahrscheinlich eine andere Ursache hat; denn bei einer Wiederholung der Destillation trat sie erneut auf.
