Spawning of pedih fish (Tor douronensis) is seasonal that occur twice a year. This causes limitation of mature broodstock. Therefore, the study was done to examine the effect of PMSG + antidopamin hormone in accelerating gonadal maturity female broodstock of pedih fish (Tor douronensis) at different concentration. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method, using 12 test fish with 4 treatments, namely treatment A (0 mL/kg fish), B (0.5 mL/kg fish), C (1 mL/kg fish), D (1.5 mL/kg fish). The ANOVA test results showed that induction of gonadal maturation in pedih fish (Tor douronensis) using different concentration of PMSG + AD had a significant effect on broodstock weight gain (W), egg diameter (mm) and relative egg diameter (%/day) (P <0.05). The study indicated that the treatment C (1 mL/kg of fish) produced the highest value on the broodstock weight gain (0.17 kg), egg diameter (1.68 mm), relative egg diameter (8,03%/day).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
