Infrared thermography (IRT) is a noninvasive and safe method of displaying the temperature map of objects that can be used to detect hoof diseases and lameness to reduce significant financial costs and physically stress animals. A qualitative bibliometric method based on the analysis of publications by the authors themselves using sophisticated tools of scientific databases was applied in this work. This review presents the fundamentals of IRT as well as recent developments in IRT detection in dairy science, including preprocessing, segmentation, and classification of objects in IRT images. In addition, recent studies dealing with the detection of hoof diseases and lameness using IRT are reviewed. As a result of this study, select previous studies are confronted in terms of technical aspects of IRT measurements such as emissivity, distance, temperature range, and reflected air temperature. Subsequently, recommendations for future IRT measurements are discussed.
The article presents a good practice of teaching 3D modeling and 3D printing at an elementary school. The trend of 3D printing penetrates the general public and specialized workplaces. This example can be a recommendation for other primary schools. It is primarily discussed how to design similar teaching and what elements can be used.
The article is focused on pilot verification of creative tasks in 3D modeling. It presents those creative tasks that can be included in the teaching (for example, technical education) of 3D modeling in primary school, and which support the creativity of students. The described experience is based on a pilot verification using the Torrance figural test, which was used in teaching in the experimental and control groups, both pretest and posttest. The pilot verification took place over a period of less than four months at a specific primary school as part of teaching 3D modeling and 3D printing. Finally, individual tasks are offered that can help teachers to develop students' creativity in the implementation of 3D modeling in teaching or hobby activities.
