A B S T R A C TPectin cerium(IV) iodate (PcCeI) and cerium(IV) iodate (CeI) cation ion exchange materials were synthesized via sol-gel methods. The materials were characterized by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometer, thermogravimetric analysis, and scanning electron microscopy. The ion exchange capacity (IEC), thermal stability, distribution coefficient (K d ), and pH titrations were investigated to recognize the cation exchange behavior of the materials. The IEC of pectin-cerium(IV) iodate (PcCeI and cerium(IV) iodate CeI were reported as 1.80 meq/g and 0.92 meq/g, respectively. The higher distribution coefficient values of 250.01 and 219.14 mg/L confirmed the selectivity of pectin-cerium(IV) iodate hybrid ion exchanger for As 3+ and Zn 2+ . The antibacterial activity of synthesized ion exchangers was explored for E. coli bacteria and observed relatively higher for PcCeI as compared to CeI.

The two types of study are used for the pathologic changes on the cellular levels. The most of cases comes in the age observed age in between the ages of 15 and 30. In the study, the reason for psoriasis disease is due to a genetic susceptibility as well as an environmental response. The estimated annual cost $32.5 billion for treating psoriasis in United States. There are number of available marketed treatment for psoriasis in different formulations like topical and systemic formulations. But, topical formulation was considered as best potent method as compared with systemic one due to the less adverse effects and targeted methods. Herbal, homeopathic approaches are also helps to control the growth of psoriasis with low side effects as compared with topical allopathic drugs.

The study demonstrates the facile synthesis of nano-sizedfullerene-like carbon balls named as nano carbon spheres (NCS) and its application for the effective adsorption of a textile dye Rhodamine-B (Rh-B) from the stimulated solution at laboratory scale. The essential controlling factors like pH of the effluent, initial Rh-B concentration and the solution temperature are investigated. The kinetics follows multi-order and Freundlich type of isotherm. The sorption energy-related parameters like ∆G, ∆H and ∆S were also evaluated. The outcome signposts that NCS is a potential material for the sorption of Rh-B with good efficiency.
