The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to use a scientific approach to the learning process. The scientific approach is in accordance to the steps of various learning models, one of which is inquiry. The aim of the study was to develop guided inquiry-based e-modules on material elemental periodic characteristics for class X SMA / MA and determine the validity and practicality of the developed e-modules. This type of research was research and development (R & D) with the 4D development model. Results of the validity test and practicality test of the emodule were produced. The validity test was carried out by 2 chemistry lecturers from FMIPA UNP and 3 senior high school chemistry teachers. The construction of the UNP Laboratory, SMAN 8 Padang, SMAN 2 Padang and practicality tests were carried out by 2 senior high school chemistry teachers. 2 UNP SMAS Laboratory Development School 2019/2020 academic year. The research instrument was conducted using a validity questionnaire and practicality questionnaire by processing the results of data analysis using the kappa moment formula. This study produced a guided inquiry-based e-module on elemental periodic properties with an average moment of kappa of 0.88 which indicated a very high level of validity. The results of the practicality tests conducted by teachers and students showed an average kappa moment, thus showing a very high level of validity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
