Este trabalho de licenciatura está orientado para a análise da iluminação em espaços exteriores através de geração fotovoltaica autônoma de modo a promover a economia e eficácia energética na iluminação externa de uma residência, também para poder transmitir conhecimentos sobre a utilização do sistema elétrico por energia solar. Os métodos de pesquisa utilizados foram a análise teórica, através de pesquisa bibliográfica dos fundamentos sobre energia solar fotovoltaica, iluminação industrial e microcontroles para este tipo de sistemas de iluminação, seguindo então com o método experimental, que consiste na realização de testes de operação e das medições das variáveis elétricas, dimensionamento de energia e comparação entre os resultados calculados na parte teórica e os dados obtidos na parte experimental. Uma das conclusões mais relevantes do desenvolvimento do projeto é que através do desenho deste sistema, se obtém alta eficiência no sistema de iluminação e economia de energia, já que a lâmpada LED é controlada para que funcione de acordo com a programação dada, o tempo de atuação e a intensidade do fluxo luminoso. Através dessas funções o sistema permite que a bateria não se esgote durante o período de trabalho, podendo armazenar mais energia a cada dia, sem ser totalmente descarregada.
