The aim of the present study was to describe the practice of Family Health Strategy workers when dealing with women in gender violence situations. It is a qualitative study, conducted with 25 healthcare workers from three Family Health Strategy units in a municipality of the state of Bahia, Brazil. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview and analyzed based on the discourse analysis method. The results yielded two empirical categories: expression of violence against women due to gender issues, with display of physical and psychological violence by a spouse, and strategies to face up gender violence. The second category displayed that the unit's actions that do not contemplate gender issues and that referrals to assistance services do not receive counter-referrals. We emphasize the need for Family Health Strategy staff to receive qualification for acting in gender violence situations, and for public management to promote a network structure for assistance services.
Objetivo: identificar nos registros de ocorrência de uma Delegacia Especializada no Atendimento à Mulher (DEAM), as situações de violência perpetradas por parceiro íntimo em abuso de álcool contra mulheres no climatério. Método: pesquisa qualitativa descritiva, realizada na DEAM de um município do interior baiano. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se o sistema de notificação de ocorrências da DEAM e na análise dos dados foi empregada a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: a violência praticada por parceiro íntimo torna-se frequente com o uso abusivo de álcool, sob a forma de violência física, psicológica e sexual e na fase do climatério as agressões foram constantes. Considerações finais: ressalta-se a importância da discussão sobre violência contra as mulheres entre profissionais que atuam na atenção primária à saúde para identificar a violência, realizar atendimento integral e implementar estratégias de prevenção e redução da violência, visando à articulação com os serviços da rede de atenção.
Describir el conocimiento de los estudiantes universitarios en la identificación y conducta de los casos de violencia doméstica contra la mujer.Se trata de un estudio descriptivo y exploratorio con abordaje cualitativo, realizado con 32 estudiantes que cursaban los dos últimos semestres de los cursos de graduación en fisioterapia, enfermería, odontología y medicina. Se utilizó para la recolección de datos la entrevista semiestructurada y para análisis de los datos la técnica de análisis de contenido.Los datos demostraron que los estudiantes universitarios presentan conocimiento incipiente sobre la identificación y conducta de la violencia doméstica contra la mujer, además de apuntar el sentimiento de falta de preparación en la identificación y el manejo de este agravio.Se concluye que los estudiantes universitarios en los cursos de graduación del área de salud, aún en su proceso de formación, necesitan tener un conocimiento más profundo sobre la temática de la violencia doméstica contra la mujer de forma transdisciplinaria, con competencias y habilidades que los que permitan actuar en el enfrentamiento y encaminamiento de mujeres en situación de violencia.
The article aimed to analyze the assistance to the health of women in situations of domestic violence addressed in scientific productions published from 2005 to 2015. Integrative review, which selected 12 publications located by the descriptors "violence against women" AND "health care "In the LILACS, MEDLINE and Virtual Health Library databases, following the inclusion criteria: articles in the Portuguese, English and Spanish languages, made available in full between 2005 and 2015. The studies highlighted the need to provide the services of the network with in integrated multiprofessional team to subsidize the coping of violence by women. The professionals lead a fragmented care, with a vision in the curativist aspect, showing difficulties in the identification of women in situations of violence. Urge the training of health professionals for a more adequate and humanized care for women in situations of domestic violence and intersectoral articulation to strengthen women in the face of domestic violence.
