The article considers the technology of formal and non-formal education as a factor of improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of lifelong learning of adults, their continuous personal and professional self-development and self-realization in accordance with an individual educational trajectory. In the study, the following methods were used: expert survey, interview, questionnaire, testing, observation, analysis of documents. The content, essence, principles of application of interactive, acmeological, andragogical and digital technologies are described, which ensure the effective functioning of the content of adult learning, meet the interests, requests and needs of customers of educational services, employers and key stakeholders. On the basis of comprehensive permanent monitoring, the effectiveness of the use of continuing education technologies for the training of a modern specialist has been experimentally tested. The results of the research can be used in the process of modernizing the system of continuing education, the organization of adult lifelong learning.
Continuous professional development of specialists in the knowledge society is a kind of challenge to its information parameters, a response to instability in the employment field and professions. Introduction into production of new equipment, digital technologies demands from pedagogical staff of professional (vocational and technical) education new comprehension of activity, non-traditional approaches, ability to study during all life. The article considers soft skills as the main educational trend and a necessary component of continuous professional development of a professional (vocational and technical) education teacher. There were presented defining characteristics of soft skills as a set of non-specialized, super-professional, cross-cutting skills that are responsible for successful participation in the work process, high productivity and are not related to a specific professional field. There were described competencies of soft skills of a professional (vocational and technical) education teacher for extrapolation of the main theoretical and methodological provisions for the training of a modern specialist, a professional in the system of continuing education.
The publication provides a comprehensive analysis of the state and development of national education over the 30 years of Ukraine’s independence, identifies current problems in education, ascertains the causes of their emergence, offers scientifically reasoned ways to modernise domestic education in the context of globalisation, European integration, innovative development, and national self-identification. Designed for legislators, state officials, education institutions leaders, teaching and academic staff, the general public, all those who seek to increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian education in the context of civilisation changes.
The article substantiates organizational and methodological principles of the Educational platform “Profosvita” as an innovative educational and digital environment to ensure the continuous professional development of specialists in accordance with the requirements of the state policy in the field of education, of employers and key stakeholders, as well as to meet educational needs of an individual as educational services customer. The Educational platform “Profosvita” developers summarized and systematized theoretical assets and took into account the latest tendencies of platforms creation for distance and mixed training. The proposed structure of the educational-digital environment provides mastery for learners, customers of educational services of different directions and specialties of certain theoretical and practical aspects of educational courses, educational headings. The presentative and educational locations are described as the main elements of the Educational platform “Profosvita” structure, forms of participant participation, principles of work organization. The research results can be used in the modernization process of postgraduate education system, in particular in the activity of postgraduate education institutions of all levels of accreditation, district methodical services for organization of continuous professional development of specialists in the conditions of sustainable development of education and science.
The role of soft skills in the process of professional development of employees in all organisations has been increasing recently. However, the importance and necessity of teachers' soft skills and, therefore, their formation among students studying in pedagogical areas are not yet adequately realized by many participants in the educational process. A comparative analysis of hard skills and soft skills was conducted and their components were evaluated. An analysis was conducted to assess the labour market needs for new qualifications. This made it possible to design a model of a modern teacher with skills relevant to the realities.
