L’article développe la spécificité des liens transnationaux qui sont mobilisés à l’occasion de décès chez les familles immigrantes endeuillées au Québec. Nos objectifs sont surtout de susciter des réflexions issues de quelques données de la littérature et de différentes recherches sur le sujet. Pour ce faire, le contenu propose de croiser des éléments de l’immigration, plus spécifiquement la migration transnationale, les rituels et l’importance des liens transnationaux chez les familles endeuillées.This paper explores the specificity of the transnational ties mobilized when immigrant families in Quebec mourn the death of a family member. The primary goal is to spark a debate on the basis of data from the literature and various studies on the subject. To this end, the paper discusses a number of aspects of immigration, including transnational migration, rituals and the significance of transnational ties for grieving families
L’importance des stratégies communautaires dans l’intervention auprès des femmes criminalisées est reconnue par nombre d’acteurs sociaux, y compris les Services correctionnels. Des auteurs ont également démontré, d’une part, que la reconnaissance sociale est fondamentale à la justice sociale et, d’autre part, que l’art communautaire permet une prise de pouvoir favorisant la reconnaissance et la transformation sociale. L’article présente une synthèse des résultats d’une recherche auprès de participantes à un projet d’art communautaire en milieu carcéral féminin, afin de saisir en quoi ce dernier fut un espace de construction de leur reconnaissance sociale.The importance of community strategies in working with criminalized women is recognized by many social actors, including Correctional Services. Some authors have also demonstrated on the one hand, that social recognition is fundamental to social justice and secondly, that community art encourage an empowerment that promote social recognition and transformation. The article summarizes the results of a research with participants of a community art project in women’s corrections, to grasp how it was a construction space of their social recognition
