INFLUENCE OF PHOTOTERMOXIDATIVE DEGRADATION IN PROPERTIES OF BIOFUELS OF BEEF TALLOW ABSTRACTPrepared ecodieseis B15 and B20 with biodiesel produced from beef tallow. The physical and chemical characterization of both and their quality was monitored as a function of time of storage. Thermal stability was studied by phototermoxidative biodiesel degradation at different temperatures by molecular absorption in the UV-Vis. The results indicate changes over time, caused by storage molecular degradation, which is confirmed in the UV-vis. It is concluded that the methodology is appropriate to the phototermoxidative study of these materials and that after seven months, the properties analyzed remain within the standards of the ANP, except the kinematic viscosity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
