The aim of this study is to know some implications of alcohol consumption and its relation with the work performed by the workers in a construction company, in the city of Santiago, state of Rio Grande do Sul. a research of applied nature, qualitative-quantitative approach, descriptive-exploratory objectives and bibliographic, survey and field procedures. The results show that all workers use alcohol and / or cigarettes. This may have been triggered by frustrations at work, such as low pay and low professional growth prospects. However, even if it was not motivated by work-related issues, it has aggravated it. Alcoholism is a problem whose origin is more complex: social inequality. Access to education is deficient and causes inequality in training and the consequent search for a better job. Until a fair social equality is achieved, strategies must be made available, adequate to the reality of each service, for the prevention of diseases and the promotion of workers' health.
The study uses the Theory of Graphs in the implementation of bike lane in city with population between 70 and 100 thousand inhabitants, so that it is possible to calculate the shortest path between two vertices. The edges of this graph are the streets and avenues of the city. The process of choosing these streets is defined as Routing Problem in Arches based on the Smallest Path Problem can minimize costs, distances and path time. We conclude that graph theory has been successfully applied in a path defined with the aid of issues related to the graph.
The progress in the world industrial sector, together with new technologies increases solid waste generation and the consequent concern with the correct management of them. One of the biggest problems in the foundry sector is the generation of solid waste, consisting mainly of waste sands or discarded sand castings (ADF). Proper waste disposal is a challenge for industries, which are increasingly concerned about the need to preserve the environment and seeking for sustainable development. In Brazil, fused production in 2008 exceeded three million tons, generating approximately one ton of waste for each ton of metal produced. The main destination of this waste is industrial disposal landfills, which have high cost and is an increasing environmental concern for companies. Therefore, the aim of this research was to solve this problem, that is, it was proposed a methodology to reuse these solid wastes, testing our methodology by using concrete slabs with incorporation of foundry sand in different concentrations, in an increasing order of 5%, where natural sand was replaced by founding sand. The viability for the use of casting sand in relation to the resistance was significant in the traces 30% and 35%.
