O tempo de permanência de pacientes em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) possui impactos gerenciais, financeiros,morais e psicológicos para todos os envolvidos. Neste contexto, a imobilização associada à internação de pacientes críticos em UTI afeta negativamente a saúde, comprometendo seu tempo de internação e também sua reabilitação no pós-alta. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo identificar a relação de relevância dos procedimentos de Mobilização Precoce realizados por fisioterapeutas na UTI para o tempo de internação desses pacientes. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter descritivo, com extração de dados em checklists de prontuários de 756 pacientes que estiveram internados em um período de dois anos em uma UTI da cidade de Florianópolis-SC. Verificou-se que os procedimentos do checklist relacionadosà mobilidade precoce representam 25% do tempo de internação do paciente na UTI.Das variáveis analisadas, a variável que representa a mensuração da força muscular do Membro Superior Direito (MSD) e Membro Superior Esquerdo (MSE), é o item com maior significância. O desenvolvimento deste estudo atua como reforço à importância da terapia de mobilização precoce em pacientes internados em UTI contribuindo para novos estudos que tratem sobre a mobilização precoce na qualidade de vida e na redução de custos relacionados a gestão em UTI.

No mesmo período, o Brasil possuía mais de 10,8 milhões de casos confirmados e mais de 262 mil pessoas haviam perdido a vida (BRASIL, 2020).
