ResumoEste texto tem como objetivo apresentar a Síndrome Cri-Du-Chat ou Síndrome do Miado de Gato, como é comumente conhecida, em relação aos aspectos médicos e educacionais envolvidos no processo de desenvolvimento das pessoas que possuem esta condição, bem como, a partir de um do estudo de caso desenvolvido, numa escola pública municipal de Vila Velha-ES, refletir sobre como tem sido realizado o processo de ensino e aprendizagem com estudante que possui tal síndrome. O estudo apresenta-se estruturado em três partes. A primeira parte evoca questões médico-biológi-cas pertinentes à síndrome. A segunda aponta a relevância do processo educacional inclusivo a partir de uma perspectiva sócio-histórica. Ao final, traz os aspectos do estudo de caso desenvolvido.Palavras-chave: Síndrome Cri-Du-Chat; Inclusão escolar; Escola comum. The child with Cri-Du-Chat syndrome in the common school: a case study AbstractThis text aims to present Cri-Du-Chat Syndrome or Cat's Meow, as is commonly known, in relation to medical and educational aspects involved in the development of people who have this condition, as well as from one case study conducted in a public school of Vila Velha -Espírito Santo, reflect on how it has been done the process of teaching and learning with students who have this syndrome. The present study is structured in three parts. The first part evokes medical and biological issues relevant to the syndrome. The second shows the relevance of inclusive education process from a socio-historical perspective. At the end, brings aspects of the case study conducted.
