Objetiva-se demonstrar a intervenção militar da Rússia na Síria enquanto guerra híbrida e enquanto evidência da atuação russa como polo internacional. Ademais, a intervenção na Síria parece plausível para frear o fluxo de refugiados à Europa e, indiretamente, para barganhar frente aos países europeus uma resolução do conflito ucraniano.
Este artigo visa analisar o papel cumprido pelo aerotransporte na condução alemã da Segunda Guerra Mundial. O propósito é o de demonstrar como este componente foi um fator decisivo para a Alemanha na época. Para isto, parte-se do estudo de Mearsheimer para verificar o conceito de Blitzkrieg presente na literatura. Daí, analisa-se a relevância do componente aerotransportado, das Armas combinadas e da logística aérea nos níveis do planejamento de guerra. Em seguida, abordam-se os casos do Bolsão de Demyansk e da Batalha de Stalingrado como forma de aferir as possibilidades e limites do aerotransporte na Guerra do Leste. Por fim, avaliam-se as lições da Blitzkrieg para as operações e a doutrina militar da atualidade.
O artigo analisa o modelo de cooperação no desenvolvimento de mísseis estabelecido entre Reino Unido e França, tendo como foco apresentar um breve histórico, implicações e perspectivas da produção do míssil de cruzeiro Storm Shadow/Scalp-EG, com ênfase no lado britânico da parceria. Considerando que o desenvolvimento de capacidade missilística é estratégico, especialmente para a dissuasão, o estudo deste modelo cooperativo se faz relevante. O caso ilustra a busca por arranjos eficientes em termos econômicos como motivação central, de forma a possibilitar a atualização de capacidades missilísticas ante situação de orçamento restrito e de redefinição do mercado de produtos de defesa. Neste sentido, a análise se pautou desde a construção desta cooperação a partir da década de 1990, culminando na produção e exportação de variantes do míssil. Também descreve como o modelo influenciou as estratégias industriais do Reino Unido e tece reflexões deste legado no contexto pós-Brexit.
