PACS 72.80.Jc, 75.30.Kz, 75.47.Lx Varistor-like electrical transport is found in Nd 2/3 Sr 1/3 MnO z and Pr 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3 compounds, with evidence of magnetic order-order transitions superimposed. The transition temperatures move under a magnetic field which establishes the spin-dependent character of these phenomena. We also discuss the possibilty that the electrical field induces such transitions, as the transition appears and/or shifts at certain applied currents (or potentials).
Electrical transport properties and magnetic cluster glass behavior of Nd 0.7 Sr 0.3 Mn O 3 nanoparticles Magnetoresistance and electrical hysteresis in stable half-metallic La 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3 and Fe 3 O 4 nanoconstrictions Appl. Phys. Lett. Spin-dependent varistor-like electrical transport is found in Nd 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3−␦ polycrystalline ceramics with slight oxygen deficient ␦ ജ 0.05. The current-voltage I͑V͒ curve shows nonlinearOhmic characteristics below a critical temperature. Electrical-field-induced changes of the spin array orientations inside of and between the magnetic domains over grain or phase boundaries have to be concluded for the strong electroresistive effect in Nd 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3−␦ series.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
