The objective of the present work was to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of the inducer of endogenous interferon synthesis in the course of the combined treatment of the adult patients presenting with laryngeal papillomatosis. A total of 50 patients with this pathology were admitted and examined at the ENT Clinics of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and M.F. Vladimirsky Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute during 24 months. The patients comprising group 1 (n=25) were treated with the use of cold plasma surgery and the inducer of endogenous interferon synthesis while those included in group 2 (n=25) received only surgical treatment. It was shown that the combined treatment including the surgical step (cold plasma surgery) followed by the treatment with the inducer of endogenous interferon synthesis to prevent relapses makes it possible to reduce the number of secondary surgical interventions, increase the duration of the intervals between relapses, and decrease the content of types 6 and 11 human papilloma virus in the saliva.

The problem of chronic dacryocystitis remains relevant up to now due to a significant number of such patients, the need for comprehensive examination and treatment usually involving an ophthalmologist and otolaryngologist. The objective of the work is to optimize of surgical treatment of patients with chronic distal obstruction of lacrimal passages using the method of radiofrequency surgery with a wavelength of 4 MHz. 19 patients with chronic dacryocystitis underwent surgery using the proposed method. The wireless low­traumatic effect makes it possible to quickly and accurately carry out a surgical incision, providing good and rapid healing without the formation of granulation tissue. A silicone stent installation facilitates post­operative management of post-surgery period and generates stable dacryocystostoma.

Cholesterol granuloma is a cyst-like benign neoplasm containing cholesterol crystals usually surrounded by a fibrous capsule. Cholesterol crystals surrounded by giant multinucleated cells and lymphoid-histiocytic cellular infiltrates, which is a morphological manifestation of the body’s immune response. Therefore, cholesterol granuloma may be regarded as a favorable course of the inflammatory process, which previously could have a more active carious-granulation course. Most often, cholesterol granuloma affects the temporal bone and the middle ear cavity, the inner ear region, sella turcica of the sphenoid bone (Royer M. C., Pensak M. L.,2007). Clinical manifestations of cholesterol granuloma largely depend on its location. This pathology belongs to rare metabolic disorders with relatively few references to it in world literature. Currently, the diagnosis of apex petrosus cholesterol granulomas has been simplified by the new imaging techniques, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computer Tomography (CT), which help us to save time for diagnostic and the percentage of errors in the diagnosis is reduced.

Обструкция носовых путей вследствие увеличения в объеме нижних носовых раковин является частым симптомом при различных формах хронического насморка. В клинических и морфологических исследованиях [1-3] отмечено, что ведущим фактором в патогенезе морфологических и функциональных нарушений вазомоторного ринита является набухание и переполнение кровью кавернозных сплетений, приводящее к увеличению размеров нижних носовых раковин и затруднению носового дыхания [4]. Лечение вазомоторного ринита является актуальной проблемой, так как консервативная терапия часто неэффективна, что обусловливает необходимость проведения хирургического вмешательства. Целью всех способов хирургического лечения вазомоторного ринита является коррекция формы и объема нижних носовых раковин [5]. Все способы хирургического лечения должны удовлетворять двум основным критериям: эффективность и сохранение функции нижних носовых раковин в частности и полости носа вообще.
