An approximate solution of the absolute method of atomic fluorescence analysis has been considered with regard to the development of hybrid methods of analysis, which includes sample pre-treatment, isolation, separation and pre-concentration of analyte elements in the form of individual volatile compounds and final determination with the use of gas-phase atomisation. Each method discussed allows the analysis of a wide range of samples by use of a spectrometer that is calibrated on pure compounds of the analyte elements or on simple synthetic standards, without the need for standard reference materials. Such methods of analysis are applicable to the determination of trace elements in many materials, with particular emphasis on environmental samples.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
