Ging schon aus diesen Untersuchungen der verschiedenen Fraktionen, besonders aus den Bruzinbevtiinmungen mit Deutliclikeit hervor, daR ein einheitliches Bruzinsalz der zweibasischen Kantharidinsliure vorlag , so konnte dieser Befund noch durch die krystallographitiche Untersuchung, welche krystallographisch vollkommen einheitliche A4usbilclung ergab, erhartet werdcn. 49. G a d a m e r . h i m Durchsehen der Arbeiten, welche sich niit der Erforschung cler Konstitution des Kanthariduui beschaftigt hatten, erkanntc ich sehr bald, da13 die ron P i c c a r d beohachtete Tatsache des beim Erhitzen mit konzentrierter Jodwasserst,offsaure erfolgenden Ueberganges von Kantharidin in einen jodhaltigen Korper von der Formel C,,H,,J,O,, das ,,Dijodicl", fiir clie Aufkliirung der Konstitution des Kantharidins von der allergrofiten Wichtigkeit sein diirfte. Hatte P i c c a r d nicht beobachtet und betont, daR dieses ,,Dijodid" in Kalilauge unloslich sei, wahrend sich doch Kantharidin darin zu kantharidinsaurem Kalium auflost, so wiire der SchluR fast selbstverstandlich gewesen, daR irn Kantharidin ein atherartig gebundenes Sauerstoffatoin vorhanden sein musse, das beim Erhitzen mit Jodwastcerstoff im Sinne der Gleichung
