In this paper the heterogeneous equilibriums between the reagent a-benzoine-oxyme and molybdenum were studied. We have studied the influence of pH, the solvent composition as well as the use of mixed solvents, the nature and concentration of acids, bases and also the nature of the cations that can be present in the solution obtained as a result of the 99Mo production using a low enriched uranium metal-foil target. It was proven that molybdenum can be selectively and quantitatively separated starting from acidic solutions in which Ru, Rh, Cu, Ni and Zn are present. The quantities of Mo, Ru and Rh were determined by optical emission spectroscopy coupled with direct coupled plasma (DCP-OES) and those of Cu, Ni and Zn by optical emission spectroscopy coupled with inductively coupled plasma (ICP-OES).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
