Due to the fact that the problem of professional self-determination of the personality of adolescents with illegal behavior has not been studied enough, the authors of the article had the goal of identifying the specifics of this process. It is assumed that adolescents with persistent illegal behavior are more indecisive, dependent and infantile in their professional choice compared to their peers with the norm of behavior. The study involved 63 adolescents of senior pubertal age: 30 students of Secondary school No. 15 in Ivanovo and 33 students of Special School No. 1 in Moscow. We used the method of diagnosing professional attitudes by I.M. Kondakov and the questionnaire “Tendency to deviant behavior” (A.N. Orel). The results obtained make it possible to say that adolescents with persistent illegal behavior are more dependent and infantile in a situation of professional choice. It is noted that they are more prone to addictive, aggressive and delinquent behavior, while only the tendency to overcome norms and rules correlates inversely with the rationalism of professional choice.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
