The increasing population in Yogyakarta City has implications for consumption and solid waste production activities. The waste collection process is the most expensive one in municipal waste management. It is necessary to determine the optimal route for municipal waste collection. In this research, we developed a vehicle routing problem (VRP) with a heterogeneous fleet, multiple trips, intermediate facility, and split delivery to approach the Yogyakarta City waste collection problem. We proposed a hybrid genetic algorithm (GA) to solve the VRP. The result of this study shows that developed VRP can be used to solve the Yogyakarta City waste collection problem.
Waste Cooking Oil (WCO) is the waste that came from household. WCO become a threat to community because it will come back to food chains again as residual bulk oil that have cheaper price than branded cooking oil. Lintas Winongo Waste Bank in Bumijo, Jetis, Yogyakarta City are trying to manage the waste cooking oil into recycled products. One of their products is aromatherapy candles. However, they had problem to produce the candles and sell it. They also faced problem about the odor of candle that came from WCO as raw material. The purpose of community service were to provide knowledge and skills to produce aromatherapy candles and to calculate the Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS). The methods in this activity were carried out in two stage. The first activity has organized by training and assistance in producing aromatherapy candles that mixed WCO and other ingredients. The second activity focused in calculating CoGS of candles. The results from these community service activities were increased knowledge and skills about producing aromatherapy candles. There were also increased knowledge about manage CoGS of their products
Waste Cooking Oil (WCO) is classified as municipal waste that potentially could pollute the environment. The form of the chains for waste cooking oil management has never been identified so the benefits are still unknown to the community. Up till now, waste cooking oil is always dumped into drains or sold to third-party collectors for converting it to be residual bulk oil. The risk of dumping waste cooking oil into drains can make the water source pollution. If it is reprocessed for human consumption, it can cause diseases. The added value of waste cooking oil is when converted to energy resource. In Yogyakarta, the chains for waste cooking oil management involved waste banks and Bumdes X that came from Bantul regency. Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) method was used to determine the added value of the waste cooking oil chains so that it can be used as an energy resource. The BCR for existed WCO chains was less than one because the research didn't consideration illegal chains.
The increasing volume of waste in Bantul Regency is a problem that must be solved. One of the things that the Regency Government does is by promoting waste banks. From the existing waste banks, citizen participation is still low, so it is not significant enough to reduce the volume of waste disposed of at the Piyungan landfill. One of the factors identified is the low interest of residents to join the waste bank. For this reason, a study of citizens' behavior is needed so that they join the waste bank with a theory of planned behavior coupled with knowledge of how and what and knowledge of consequences factors. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to members of the garbage bank. The number of respondents was 1265 from 29 waste banks spread throughout Bantul Regency. The method of data analysis uses linear regression. Research shows that attitudes, perceived behavioral control, knowledge of how and what, and knowledge of consequences have positive and significant effects, both simultaneously and partially, on the intention of residents to join the waste bank. Intention is also a significant positive and significant effect on behavior.
Sehingga, TPS yang akan tetap dibuka yaitu Depo Sagan, Landasan Kontainer RRI, TPSS Pengok dan TPSS Kusbini I. Kata Kunci: set covering problem, design fasilitas, tempat pembuangan sementara 28 Penentuan Open/Closed Fasilitas Tempat Pembuangan Sampah dengan Mempertimbangkan Desain Fasilitas dan Sarana Pendidikan Formal Abstract There was a complaint from the community and the mayor of the city of Yogyakarta regarding the existence of a Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) which was considered to have a negative impact on the environment. In addition, several TPS locations caused congestion when collecting garbage to be taken to the Final Disposal Site According to data from the City of Yogyakarta DLH 32.7% of Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS) are in the Krasak Sector. TPS in the secondary sector is dominated by small-sized Temporary Disposal Sites. The capacity of TPS available in the Krasak sector is greater than the volume of garbage sources. This imbalance can be fulfilled by closing small sized polling stations. In addition there are polling stations that cannot accommodate the nearest source of garbage, so that facilities need to be expanded. Public facilities in the form of formal education can provide additional contributors to waste generation. This study attempts to minimize the number of polling stations in the Krasak Sector by considering the TPS holding capacity. This problem solv...
