Maytenine and N-methylmaytenine were synthesized and the structure of maytcninc definitively proved. Vor kurzem konnten Engleyt et al. [l] mit Hilfe spektroskopischer Methoden zeigen, dass dem Maytenin, vor etwa 35 Jahren erstmals von Colas [Z] isoliert, die Struktur I eines Di-trans-cinnamoylspermidins zukommt. Wir haben Maytenin (I) synthetisiert und konnen die von Elzglert et al. [l] aufgestellte Struktur bestatigenl). Ferner 'zeigte der Smp. des Maytenin-hydrochlorids (218-219"), dass berejts Raymoizd-Hamet & Colas [Zl ein reines Hydrochlorid von I in Handen hatten (nach [2] : Smp. 213-216').Wir haben uns ebenfalls mit der Synthese der entsprechenden N-Alkyl-maytenine befasst und berichten nachstehend uber die Synthese von N-Methyl-spermidin und N-Methyl-maytenin (11). H R H Experimenteller Teil Die Smp. wurden am Apparat nach Dr. Tottoli bestimmt und sind unkorrigiert. Die UV-Spektren wurden an einem Leitz-Unicam-Gerat. die 1R.-Spektren an einem Perkin-Elmer-221-&rat und die NMR.-Spektren an einem Vavian-A-60-Gerat aufgenommen. Die Elementaranalysen fiihrte das Mikrolaboratoriuni des Chemischen Instituts der Universitat Heidelberg aus. n a s Massenspektrum wurde bei der Fa. Hoffmauzn-La Xoche, Basel, aufgenommen. 1. Maytenin ( I ) wurde nach einer modifizierten Methode von Riehringer ef al. [4] dargestellt: 2,s g Ba(OH), wurdcn in 50 ml Athano1 suspendiert. Dazu gab man 1,45 g (0.01 mol) Spermidin. CJnter Ruhren und Kiihlen im Eisbad wurden anschliessend 2,s g (0,014 mol) Zimtsaurechlorid in kleinen Portionen zugegeben. Nach 1 Sttl. wurde die Suspension aus dem Eisbad genommen, iiber Kacht bei Raumtemp. stchengelasseu, das nicht geloste Ba(OH), abfiltriert und das Filtrat zur Trockne eingedampft. Der Ruckstand wurde in CH,CI, aufgenommen und an GO g M,0, (neutral, Woelm) chromatographiert : l) Unabhangig von uns haben auch Husson et al. auf etwas komplizierterem Weg, jedoch mit besseren ilusbeuten Maytenin synthetisiert.
