We investigate a simplified model of a colloidal system-a microscopic 2D system containing two "colloidal" particles and a few hundred smaller solvent molecules-by the MD method. The purpose of the present work is to study the process of association of the colloidal particles at small distances. An anisotropy of the mobility of the solvent in the vicinity of the colloidal particles is found. The potential of mean force of the two dispersed particles is also calculated.
