RESUMOO presente artigo teve por objetivo analisar a percepção dos profissionais contábeis acerca do mercado de trabalho. Em relação aos procedimentos metodológicos, a pesquisa teve uma abordagem quantitativa, de tipologia descritiva e consistiu em uma pesquisa de levantamento. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, utilizou-se um questionário com 20 (vinte) questões fechadas, adaptado dos estudos de Santos (2007) e Rodrigues (2009). A amostra compreendeu 260 profissionais contábeis devidamente registrados no Conselho Regional de Contabilidade (CRC) do estado de Santa Catarina. Os dados foram tabulados por meio do Google Formulários e a técnica utilizada para análise de dados foi a estatística descritiva, por meio da distribuição de frequência relativa. Os principais resultados revelaram que os profissionais contábeis devem estar preparados para atender as exigências do mercado, se esforçando para acompanhar as mudanças ocorridas nas áreas da contabilidade e sempre se atualizando para cumprimento das obrigatoriedades.Palavras-Chave: Mercado de Trabalho. Profissionais Contábeis. Percepção. ABSTRACTThe objective of this article was to analyze the accounting professionals perception about the labor market. Regarding the methodological procedures, the research had a quantitative approach, of descriptive typology and consisted of a survey. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire with 20 (twenty) closed questions was used, adapted from studies by Santos (2007) and Rodrigues (2009). The sample comprised 260 accounting professionals duly registered in the Regional Accounting Council (CRC) of the state of Santa Catarina. The data were tabulated through Google Forms and the technique used for data analysis was descriptive statistics, through the relative frequency distribution. The main results revealed that accounting professionals should be prepared to meet market demands, striving to keep pace with changes in accounting and always updating to comply with mandatory requirements.
