In this paper, we apply new results on variational relation problems obtained by D. T. Luc (J Optim Theory Appl 138:65-76, 2008) to generalized quasi-equilibrium problems. Some sufficient conditions on the existence of its solutions of generalized quasiequilibrium problems are shown. As special cases, we obtain several results on the existence of solutions of generalized Pareto and weak quasi-equilibrium problems concerning C-pseudomonotone multivalued mappings. The selection of the target market plays vital role in promoting the marketing strategies of companies. We presented is a method for target market selection. We introduce some novel similarity measures between intuitionistic fuzzy sets and the novel similarity measures between interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets. They are constructed by combining exponential and other functions. Finally, we introduce a multi-criteria decision making model to select target market by using the novel similarity measure of interval intuitionistic fuzzy sets.

PurposeThe paper aims to propose a practical model for market segment selection and evaluation. The paper carries out a technique of order preference similarity to the ideal solution (TOPSIS) approach to make an operation systematic dealing with multi-criteria decision- making problem.Design/methodology/approachIntroducing a multi-criteria decision-making problem based on TOPSIS approach. A new entropy and new similarity measure under neutrosopic environment are proposed to evaluate the weights of criteria and the relative closeness coefficient in TOPSIS model.FindingsThe outcomes show that the TOPSIS model based on new entropy and similarity measure is effective for evaluation and selection market segment. Profitability, growth of the market, the likelihood of sustainable differential advantages are the most important insights of criteria.Originality/valueThis paper put forward an effective multi-criteria decision-making dealing with uncertain information.

Online reviews play a vital role in providing multidimensional information for tourists. It also has an effect on the ranking and overall score of hotels. As a powerful tool, the Fermatean fuzzy set efficiently models dealing with uncertain information. Considering that there is no study using the correlation coefficient in Fermatean fuzzy context to assess the effect of online reviews on ratings and overall score of hotels. Therefore, a correlation coefficient measure is put forward to determine the relationship between two Fermaten fuzzy numbers and then they are utilized to assess the impact of online reviews on ranking and overall rating of hotels. The paper first introduces the TOPSIS–based ranking model using a new distance under Fermatean set. Then, we construct a new correlation coefficient between two Fermatean fuzzy numbers to measure the effect of online reviews with ranking, overall score and score of hotels under given criteria. A case study on TripAdvisor.com is performed to illustrate the proposed operator and model.
