An experiment was aimed to assess the use of the legumes as a source of protein feedstuff and levels of protein-energy synchronization (PES) index in the diet of dairy cattles on volatile fatty acids (VFA) and methane (CH4) profile. The research was applied in In vitro techniques used a completely randomized design (CRD), with factorially pattern (2x3), the first factor was the two species of legumes (Sesbania and Leucaena) and the second factor was the three level of the PES index (0.4, 0.5, and 0.6), there were 6 treatment combinations and each was 4 replicates. The results showed that interaction between legumes with PES index was not significantly affected (P>0.05) on all variable. Legumes was not significantly affected (P>0.05) on all variables and PES index was significantly affected (P<0.05) on propionate, A:P ratio, and methane. The study concluded that the use of turi and lamtoro leaves combined with the protein-energy synchronization index (PES) at medium level (0.5) could increasing the production of VFA, especially propionate, suppressing A:P ratio and decreasing methane production.
Currently, it has developed rapidly in the form of housing in Banyumas Regency. The location of these housing settlements is well-known, mostly near urban areas and some in rural areas. Purwosari Indah Housing is one of the residential housing located in Banyumas Regency, located in Purwosari Village, Baturraden District. Yard and residential roads have not been used optimally for productive activities. Therefore, urban agriculture (Urban Farming) can be applied in housing to increase the added value of land and the income of the community around housing. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of PKK RT 4 RW 5 Purwosari Housing and increase the income of the community and help improve the sustainability of the housing environment. The target audience for this activity is the PKK RT 4 RW 5 Housing Purwosari, Baturraden, Banyumas. Technology transfer activities include training, hands-on practice, and making demonstration plots at partner locations. Activities carried out in the form of counseling, direct practice demonstration plots of leaf vegetable cultivation (caisim, kale, pakcoy, mustard greens, leeks, and celery) verticulture using polybags arranged in stages on racks built from bamboo and gutters that are stratified from bamboo racks. , as well as vegetable plants planted in polybags placed in polybags which are neatly arranged on the side of the road, in the yard, or at home. Partners have been able to grow leafy vegetables well, so they can harvest vegetables for their own consumption or give to neighbors. Vegetable harvest is still limited, so it is only consumed by themselves and not sold. Keywords: Urban farming, vegetable crops, verticulture.

The experiment was aimed to assess the food securitythrough physical properties, chemical composition and prevalence rate of milk bacterial contamination in Cilongok dairy cattle development center. Surveys and observations were conducted to obtain data on milking and milk processing applied by farmer and to obtain data on physical properties, chemical composition, and milk total bacterial count. The materialswere used farmer and milk samples taken 20 liters in total from 13 Andini Lestari 1 farmers and 7 Andini Lestrari 2 farmers. Data from the laboratory were analyzed descriptively based on the Standard Nasional Indonesia (SNI): 3141.1.2011, "t" test was used to distinguish milk quality based on physical properties, chemical composition and total bactery from both groups. The results showed that physical properties, chemical composition, and total bactery from both groups were not significantly different (P> 0.05). The conclusion of the research stated that Cilongok Dairy Cattle Development Center produces milk that is suitable for consumption based on physical and chemical composition in accordance with SNI standard: No.3141.1.2011 that showed low prevalence of bacterial contamination.

Protein is one of the nutrient components in milk that is related to product quality. The components of milk protein are divided into casein alpha-s1, beta, alpha-s2, kappa, and whey fractions such as alpha lactalbumin and beta lactoglobulin. There are no existing data of milk protein fraction in dairy cow and goats in Banyumas Regency. This study aimed to determine the profile in form of protein fractions of cow and goat milk in Banyumas. Milk sample from fifty cows and thirty dairy goats was taken by random sampling in some areas. The milk protein profile was identified by the technique of sodium dodecyl sulphate gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and protein quantity prediction by software. The data obtained were analyzed statistically by Mann-Whitney between cows and goats. The results were significantly different (p<0.05) between cows and goats in molecular weight of protein alpha-S1 casein (29.66 vs 33.37 kDa), alpha-S2 (27.76 vs 29.49 kDa), beta (24 , 48 vs 25.59 kDa) and beta lactoglobulin (15.75 vs 15.97 kDa). The quantity of casein alpha-S1 (7.88 vs 4.16 g/l), alpha-S2 (1.31 vs. 4.02 g/l), beta (8.74 vs 14.24 g/l), kappa (2.41 vs. 4.28 g/l) and alpha lactalbumin (0.91 vs 0.7 g / l) was significantly different (p <0.05) between cow's and goat's milk, respectively. In conclusion, milk protein profile of cows and goats in Banyumas Regency is different.
