Uma das etapas do projeto de extensão “Como usar o Direito”, realizado em Porto Seguro, Bahia, foi identificar metodologias de educação em direitos em escolas, a fim de aproveitá-las no planejamento de atividades posteriores. Para tanto, foram pesquisados os artigos publicados nos Anais dos Congressos Brasileiros de Extensão Universitária, desde 2012, na área Direitos Humanos e Justiça. Foram identificados treze artigos, sobretudo das regiões Norte, Sul e Sudeste, sobre os seguintes temas: educação em direitos humanos, bullying, Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente, violências, racismo, desigualdade social, sexualidade, relações familiares, justiça restaurativa, substâncias psicotrópicas ilícitas, cultura da paz, dentre outros. Em geral, os projetos se caracterizam pela interdisciplinaridade. Alguns exibem filmes e outros contam com a participação de outras instituições e profissionais. Enfrentam os desafios de condições materiais impróprias para execução, a necessidade de adequação da linguagem jurídica ao público específico e a ambivalência dos direitos que tanto podem servir à emancipação quanto à disciplina. Embora os relatos apontem o sucesso dos projetos, seria útil se oferecessem também mais informações sobre os métodos, as técnicas e os materiais para a realização das atividades, bem como sobre os conceitos de ensino e extensão que fundamentam os projetos.
