This programme aims to digitize video collections hosted by the Museum of Shadow Play of the Kaohsiung City Cultural Affairs Bureau inTaiwan. Two main studies have been made based on this programme: Firstly, this project cooperates with the museum and digitizes films kept there, whilst also constructing a Web 2.0 interactive online platform to promote the culture of shadow puppet theatre. Secondly, based on the study of the museum archives, this study designed and validated three prototypes of social interfaces representing the cultural context by taking advantage of interactive technology, namely 'narrative media of shadow play'. Several exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects have been established, which support digital art, history and museum areas.
