Bien que l’université soit parfois décrite comme un sanctuaire éloigné des vicissitudes économiques, elle est prise entre les contraintes de l’autonomie de gestion, l’évolution des demandes des usagers et ses missions de service public. Elle accueille des apprenants de tous horizons de plus en plus massivement avides de formations « utiles », orientées vers l’emploi ou répondant directement à des questions qu’ils se posent sans logique de cursus. Introduite dans les textes en 2005, l’approche par les compétences en contexte numérique pourrait être symptomatique de la financiarisation de l’éducation et du rapprochement entre logiques entrepreneuriales, logiques sociales, logiques de gouvernance universitaire et demandes des apprenants.
La notion d’interaction est un effet étudié en méthodologie scientifique : c’est l’interrelation entre variables. Pourtant, dès lors qu’il s’agit de rapports entre les hommes et les machines, surtout quand elles disposent d’une intelligence artificielle, le terme interactivité lui est préféré, en SHS comme dans l’espace public. Le sens méthodologique d’interaction semble avoir été fragilisé dans ses représentations collectives et sociales. Ces considérations datent des années off line du multimédia pour le grand public. C’est pourquoi elles sont revisitées dans le contexte rénové du web 2.0 qui propose de nouvelles situations tant en pédagogie que pour les usages quotidiens.
L'objet de ce numéro de Médiations et médiatisations est d’interroger les dynamiques de pôle ou de hub social à l’œuvre dans le milieu éducatif et chez les apprenants. Il aborde les spécificités des hubs et des hubs sociaux en croisant des thématiques d’éducation et de communication : processus identitaires et appartenance à un groupe ou une institution, pratiques de médiation techniques et non techniques, approches infocommunicationnelles, continuité pédagogique, questions vives en éducation et dans les organisations. Ce numéro est composé de six articles de recherche, d’un article de praticien, d'un article de discussions et débats, et d'un entretien.
