A cirurgia parendodôntica apresenta-se como uma alternativa terapêutica que pode ser realizada quando não é possível fazer o retratamento endodôntico convencional, com a finalidade de atuar solucionando problemáticas envolvidas por injurias apicais, visando combater agentes patógenos, como em casos de dentes calcificados. Nesse contexto, o objetivo desse trabalho é descrever um caso clínico de cirurgia parendodôntica do dente 13 com raiz calcificada e portador de lesão perirradicular. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo elaborado a partir de um relato de caso de uma paciente do sexo feminino, 43 anos, que procurou o serviço da Clínica de Atenção Básica III na Faculdade de Odontologia de Pernambuco da Universidade de Pernambuco, para tratamento endodôntico do dente 13. Após o diagnóstico de lesão perirradicular e calcificação interna do dente 13, optou-se por realizar a cirurgia parendodôntica. Foi realizada profilaxia antibiótica 1 hora antes do procedimento, antissepsia da região e anestesia local. O retalho cirúrgico de escolha foi o Neumann. Foi realizada a localização da lesão com uma lima endodôntica, acesso à lesão, curetagem, apicectomia e obturação retrógrada com MTA e sutura local. Após o ato cirúrgico, uma radiografia periapical foi realizada e foi possível constatar o sucesso do procedimento. Assim, a cirurgia parendodôntica apresenta-se como uma indicação para dentes com raízes completamente calcificadas e sem possibilidade da realização do tratamento endodôntico convencional.
A deformidade dentofacial (DDF), de prevalência de 20% na população mundial, prejudica a funcionalidade da mordida, a estética orofacial e a qualidade de vida dos pacientes que possuem uma de suas três classificações, I, II e III. A cirurgia ortognática é uma das principais intervenções para correção da DDF e, dentre suas técnicas, há a Le Fort I, que pode apresentar complicações, assim como as outras modalidades, destacando-se em muitas pesquisas com menos incidência desses eventos. Nesse contexto, este estudo tem o objetivo de evidenciar, por meio de revisão integrativa, as complicações pós-cirúrgicas orofaciais mais prevalentes em pacientes adultos e pediátricos submetidos ao método de osteotomia Le Fort I. Resgatou-se 05 artigos nas bases de dados PubMed/MedLine, Scielo, Google Acadêmico e BVS/BIREME , em sua maioria estudos retrospectivos, que destacaram sangramentos, infecção, instabilidade óssea e prejuízos neurais como algumas das principais e evitáveis complicações relacionadas à Le Fort I. Nesta pesquisa, destaca-se a importância de novas revisões, com metanálise, para avaliação das estratégias de prevenção e controle de tais eventos.
O impacto da gravidez em adolescente ainda é um desafio para algumas equipes de saúde da família. A falta de uma orientação sexual, as transformações corporais e as alterações hormonais existentes nesse período, tornam esses adolescentes mais vulneráveis a uma possível gravidez. O atual trabalho teve como objetivo fazer um levantamento bibliográfico sobre a gravidez na adolescência e os desafios para Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF) através do método de revisão bibliográfica que consiste na procura de referências teóricas para análise do problema de pesquisa e a partir das referências publicadas fazer as contribuições cientificas ao assunto em questão. Foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa, onde foram utilizadas bases de dados: Scielo, Google acadêmico e Lilacs. Selecionando com maior correlação com o tema, nos idiomas inglês e português. A literatura analisada para compor a revisão apontam alguns desafios enfrentados pela ESF sobre o contexto gravidez na adolescência, e da sua importância na atuação da prevenção da gravidez e na promoção da saúde das gestantes, através da prestação de serviços multidisciplinares. Sendo assim, é importante enfatizar a relevância de uma perspectiva multidisciplinar na assistência global à adolescente grávida, através de programas de educação sexual e psicossocial colabora positivamente na qualidade de vida dessa população.
