O presente trabalho descreve um relato de experiência de uso da tecnologia Google Docs no contexto da Aprendizagem Colaborativa. A experiência em questão foi realizada durante o curso online Tecnologias Google para Educação, tendo como objetivo mostrar como as ferramentas Google podem contribuir para a criação de experiências de aprendizagem inovadoras e teve a participação de 20 professores de instituições públicas e privadas de ensino. De acordo com Torres e Irala (2007), a Aprendizagem Colaborativa aponta para o aluno como sendo o agente principal do processo de construção do conhecimento, onde um conjunto de estímulos atuam para promover a interação, negociação e resolução de problemas. Desse modo, para os autores, é problemática qualquer metodologia que leve o aluno a apenas reproduzir o conhecimento, pois gera a exclusão deste no processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Diante desse entendimento sobre a Aprendizagem Colaborativa, uma atividade no Google Docs foi proposta, durante o curso, visando observar como este recurso didático poderia favorecer a construção do conhecimento. A atividade foi denominada Leitura Colaborativa e apresentava um texto que os participantes deveriam ler e, em seguida, postar comentários a ele, construindo, assim, um diálogo. Durante este processo, houve o acompanhamento por parte do facilitador do curso. Como resultado, concluiu-se que o Google Docs é um importante aliado no processo de ensino-aprendizagem pautado na Aprendizagem Colaborativa, já que apresenta meios que tornam a aprendizagem mais significativa e, ao mesmo tempo, favorece a interação e compartilhamento de saberes entre alunos e professor.
